Enabling auditing within Microsoft 365¶
Enabling audit logging within Microsoft 365 is free functionality that provides additional information in the event of a cyber attack or user tracking. The feature is available for free from Microsoft and may be turned off within your Microsoft 365 portal. Enabling auditing also provides Clevr360 with enhanced security information which is provided through smart insights.
Within Microsoft Defender, navigate to Audit, or follow https://security.microsoft.com/auditlogsearch.
If audits are turned off you will be prompted to enable them.

Click the blue banner to turn on auditing. If there is no banner then auditing is already on and recording.
